How it works
Coram IAC is a registered Voluntary Adoption Agency and we have good partnerships within the UK adoption network.
Once you are an approved adopter and the Department for Education have issued your Certificate of Eligibility, you can opt to parallel plan to adopt from the UK, alongside waiting for a match from your chosen country.
You will be offered further support and training to learn more about adopting within the UK, in particular where it differs from intercountry adoption, and help you decide if it’s the right course for you. Children available for adoption in the UK system come from a range of backgrounds, and there is greater likelihood that you will have more information about their birth family and circumstances around their need for adoption.
Our dedicated Domestic Adoption team will discuss with you the types of children you could potentially be matched with. If a suitable match is found, you will need to withdraw from the intercountry process.
